Family and Background

Charleston was always where I wanted to live and raise a family. Some people are “city folk,” others prefer the mountains. I am an “island guy.” In business you have to stand by your product, and I firmly believe it is tough to find a better place than Charleston and its islands. My wife and I and our two daughters currently live in Mt. Pleasant and are building on Sullivan’s Island with expectations to move in July of this summer.

I earned a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with an outside concentration in business. I worked as a writer for NBC news and as a sportscaster before moving to Charleston. I completed my real estate coursework while in the broadcasting business. Having grown-up around the real estate industry, I knew one day I would want to venture into real estate. Working with HGTV® has allowed me to integrate my television experience with my real estate knowledge.
